Just as we have health issues, trees can too. Our knowledge of pathology and physiology allows us to diagnose and treat a wide range of biotic (pest and disease) and abiotic (environmental) disorders in trees. However- just because we can, doesn't mean we always should. Part of our ethical approach is to find the best advocation for both you and your trees, also remaining responsible with our impact to cohabiting species. If your trees are experiencing symptoms of an issue, we can offer both simple targeted solutions and big-picture management strategies.
Root issues are common in trees that were containerized before planting. We use a super-sonic air knife to strip soil from roots on trees of any size to reveal and correct issues.
Sometimes the structural genetics of trees can express themselves poorly, resulting in deficiencies that will lead to tree failures. This phenomenon is exacerbated by environmental stress, caused by deep-planting, unsuitable site selection, and poor management. These deficiencies can be managed or corrected through a combination of pruning, treatment, and installation of structural support systems. These support systems must be maintained, and have a life-expectancy based upon their material and ratings. Above, we are replacing an old system that is starting to girdle the corresponding stems (installed by another company).
We do not currently travel more than 25 miles outside of Rochester city limits to provide quotes or consultations.
